???? What you talkin' 'bout Willis??? Golden, through 5 games, is avg. 7.2 assists per game, which is great. I haven't seen any NCAA or SEC rankings on assists, but I would guess he is near the top in both.
You've got a point, 7 assists is a very good average. I didn't realize he was averaging that. The Memphis point guard also had 7 assists -- he just didn't take 19 shots (and miss 16 of them) mostly when he had two men on him. Hopefully he won't have too many sub 20% shooting nights.
