it's been tryed you can't attack a player that's to tall,,,you have to take them out of the game block then out,,,running at her not going to work she's to tall with long arms,,,Im watching the game now ,,,baylors having their way with the lady vols,,,,,botton line tn coach is not very good at game planning....,you think like the lady vols coach,,,,I don't understand turn him around high low back picks tn has no problem getting a shot off ,,if you only have two players to be concern about one you can't stop head up block them out,,,,it's the only way coachs and player have found that has a chance of working.......
That's all good, but we don't have those same players, nor the same coach, do we? This is a different Tenn. team and unfortunately, we longtime LV fans are so used to our teams getting to the top that it's gonna take a while to get used to being ranked low and losing a lot. Just a new time, have to change expectations.

Clearly, Baylor has more than two good players, though two players like Griner and Sims make everybody else look better. The other Baylor players were shooting wide open because the LVs were so concerned about Griner. The LVs were afraid in some cases and ineffective in others at taking the ball inside, so Baylor's perimeter defenders could play up on the LV shooters outside.
I wouldn't be so hard on Holly. You seem to forget that the LVs have only three players who have even started part-time for more than one year, Massengale, Simmons, and Spani. They were without their main back-up PG and one of their two best post players. This team may not be as good as some LV teams of the past, but they will get better and they have a great class coming in next year when the playing field might be a little more level.
She holds her position well. "Running squarely at her" is another way to say "offensive foul". True, they didn't try it, and I suppose if you can avoid all the offensive fouls it MIGHT work, but that is no infallible recipe for dealing with her. She is just too good and her teammates are no chumps. This was just too tall an order--pardon the pun--without a far more disciplined effort than these LVs are capable of at this stage. It's no disgrace, and they will get better. Besides, next year WE ought to have "the big girl" on OUR side.

No kidding...no way she was born a female. That said...you put 50 pounds on her and she could play in the NBA.

But most of the most promising of that talent is also very young. But maybe you were rammin' and jammin' right out of the womb.
