Who was the best passer in the SEC last year against SEC defenses? Maybe Mallet, but if so, Crompton was second. Crompton reads defenses better than Tebow, who never had to make progressive reads. He looked for his primary reciever; if he wasn't open, Tebow would run around until some broke wide open or just take off running (not a real slam against Tebow, maybe the most productive college player ever; even his team mates understand that about his). Snead had a horrible year; no one else was even close.
So, the evidence is that Crompton can have success against good fast defenses in the NFL as long as it is the right system.
