Can someone address why this team with 3 or 4 mins left in regulation decides to run 3 running plays with no effort to get a 1st down in hopes of letting the defense hold UNC? I fault Dooley for this. I know many will point fingers at Janzen's late hit or the missed field goal, but if they had tried to get a 1st down UNC would never had gotten the ball back in regulation. Vols run the clock out and it's a win. Poor coaching on Dooley's part down the stretch.
