College baseball fans want the kids to go to college. No surprise there. But you're kidding yourself if you think a high percentage of these athletes really get much out of their "education" -- many are tutored and pampered in high school and college to keep them eligible, and treated preferentially all along the way. The main thing a lot of them learn is how it feels to get your butt kissed. You'd best believe they will get a real world education playing 'A' ball and riding crowded buses from one small town to the next.
