I don't question the "stars" on the defense because I still believe there is plenty of talent over there. Except for the secondary which is still a bit slow by SEC standards. What I question is the defensive scheme they tried to implement and the coach who was hired to do it. By all accounts, it has been a miserable failure as has the coach. (Sunseri). One would think that they'd at least be picking some of it up by now but, the best I can tell, they've gotten worse as the season has gone along. And that is a coaching issue, pure and simple.
