This is not a problem!!! Have we forgotten why our Universities were founded? The athletic program is secondary to the mission of the institution. Are you familiar with the term "student-athlete". Those who participate in college athletics must be held accountable for their academic standing and progress as any non athlete! I want the Vols to win in athletic competition but I hope the goal of the University is to educate and prepare students for the future, not solely to produce good football teams so those who live vicariously through the team can be satisfied. Be proud of the University and hope it is an institution of learning first and a producer of good athletic teams second.
