I attended the game Friday and can say, Chattanooga had a starting five from East Tennessee. The Mocs also had the three best players on the floor that night: the best point guard; the best power fwd; and, the best pure jump shooter. Now, these girls didn't have a bunch of recruiting stars behind their names, but they played with skill and toughness.
Next year the Lady Vols have two players recruited from Oregon; one is rated the best player in the country and the other is rated really high. I appreciate the fact that young ladies all over the country want to play for Tennessee, the best women's basketball program in the nation. I am grateful for the talent pool available to Holly.
My left-handed comment: Wonder if East Tennessee has any good basketball players that we could use?
So what did the game prove? = Some of the best players from East Tn beat an SEC team that has almost zero experience and majority of players playing their first game!
