[[ Freshmen Bashaara Graves and Andraya Carter set career scoring highs with 20 and 16 points, respectively, for No. 24 Tennessee (3-1). Sophomore Cierra Burdick also set a career high with 10 rebounds.

Ariel Massengale added 14 points, shooting 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. She made six of them in the final minute. ]]

I LOVE THAT! I really get flustered when they miss freebies. Way to set the example Ariel Massengale.

Those young'uns are impressive, clutch. Izzy seems to pushing the limits with the propensity of foul trouble. That's worrisome.

To remain positive, the last 2 games have, LVs coming back , and/or sustaining opponent's drives. To me that speaks volumes of their toughness. Makes me nervous, though.

Yesterday was indeed a good road win. You know they (Miami) was sick to have their home winning streak broken.

I'm really impressed that the team could hang in for the win. I NEED TO WORK ON MY OWN WEAKNESSES. I confess to my GVX poster companions, I have a weak stomach for turnovers, ill-advised shots and losing...

Good post as usual. LOTS of us have weak stomachs for those things you mentioned. I listened to the whole game and it seemed to me that the LVs in the second half went away from some of the things that got them that big early lead. That is often a problem with a young team but it says a lot for their resolve that they were able to hold it together at the end. Massengale was clutch at the line! We'll just have to see how they do against the better teams, but I'm looking forward to an interesting and competitive season, and positively drooling over the prospects for next year with all the experience the young ones are getting this year and the great incoming class.
