Information on how to aid the victims of the deadly tornado in Oklahoma
In conclusion, let's hope that our Vol family pulls together, respects the departing of Dooley and accepts his successor with the grace, patience and zeal that they will need of us. Maybe the lessons of the last three years will bring about some changes in how we act going forward.
Let's do what we have to do to be there for each other, to pull together when maybe we haven't done that so much this year. It's been a sad day, and the emptiness that's hard to describe or explain has gripped me. Maybe when we go 10-2 some year I will forget this feeling, convince myself that he needed to go, I got what I wanted. But hopefully, I won't. Hopefully, you won't, either.
And yet I will rise tomorrow with the conviction that family will be there. OUR family. YOU and ME. And if I can ask a favor of my family, turn out for the Seniors next Saturday. I can't be there but I'll make a gut call here and say you will. You won't let me down like THAT family did.
It's what good family would do.
It's what a good guy would do.
