Rumors have Lane Kiffen being fired at the end of USC's season. Why not give him another chance to redem himself? If not then we do need to get Phillip back. Or promote Sal to head coach and get a new DC. Or get the Kentucky coach that was fired or Auburn's coach when he gets fired. No rush. It will give the posters a chance to vent for a few more months and give the recruits a chance to change their minds.
You must be a troll with a comment like that. Kiffen was recruiting coordinator and offensive coordinator at USC when the recruiting violations were committed that got USC a two year post season ban and heavy recruiting restrictions, basically forcing Pete Carroll to leave for the NFL. Kiffin was head coach at UT and was very obviously playing fast and loose with recruiting here. We were already on self imposed probation for secondary recruiting violations under Kiffin, and just the other day received notice from the NCAA that our probation has been extended two more years, until 2015, for a major violation that happened on Kiffin's watch.
I wouldn't totally object to giving Fulmer another shot at it, but if I were responsible for it, there would be no buyout clause and there would be a reasonable base salary with pay for performance languange structured into the contract. I think he's still got it in him, and unlike Dooley, he was fired too soon after having a 10 win season in 2007 and playing for the SEC championship. He would not be my first choice at this time, but a safety valve type hire.
Now then. Sal? Chizik? Joker? This proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that you are either a comedian or a troll. Lord, have mercy.
