No school would be able to hire a coach without a clause it in. Would you go to work for someone knowing if you fail you will be fired? Well, most of us have to, but not if you didn't have to.

Imagine that. If you could take a job on contract and after 3 years they decided they wanted to can you and they still had to pay you for the next 2 years! We would all jump on that wouldn't we.

It is a sign of the times. So then, just imagine what the buyout clause is going to be for the next coach since this will be the fourth one in six years. No stability here.
