These very same fools who sloshed Doolaide, all over this site, all last year, after I told them Dooley would be 5-7 tops, now delude themselves into believing in Dave Hart.

You can forget about tradition, facilities, and money (though mega-donors are very reluctant to throw money into a gig run by Hart and Cheek). No big name coach is coming to Tennessee unless he is given total and complete independence (Think Saban), and that's not happening. Hart is part of the good old boy network of hangers-on. The UTAD, under Hart, is known to be a clown car. Don't you think any top flight head coach will know this?

Do you think Nick Saban would even return phone calls to the likes of Mal Moore and Dave Hart? It's the Mal Moores and Dave Harts that gave Alabama Dennis Franchione, Mike Price, and Mike Shula. It was Lee Roy Jordan and Bear Bryant Jr. that put Nick Saban in Alabama, with complete authority and independence from Mal Moore and Dave Hart. They wouldn't even set foot in Saban's football offices without an appointment months in advance. That's not happening at UT with Cheek and Hart, so expect some retread or an over-hyped Charlie Strong type!

You want to see the Hart model? Look to the greatest womens program in all of intercollegiate sports, UT Women's Basketball. Dave Hart made that decision and handed the keys to a Holly Warlick, who nobody with a realistic brain thinks can win a national championship; instead of going and getting a Nikki Caldwell who probably would never have missed a beat!

Delude yourselves all you want about Dave Hart. Until both he and Cheek are gone, nothing changes!
