Nothing makes sense. You have a Chattanooga reporter willing to put his reputation and job on the line saying the opposite. You have Knoxville media members who have flip flopped more times than a politician. One day its dead, the next the same reporters are saying we offered, then dead again.
If you want to tell me now that we were never in the running, I say BS! Too much out there to think this was all made up and we were never negotiating. And there are a lot classier ways to turn down a job to a place that you deem special. Having your agent say it was a fantasy seems more like a negotiating tactic.
My gut says we are still negotiating.
