There's something to be said for that. This year, I bought two sets of the 3-game mini-packs with Bama, Mizzou and UK. I knew we were going to be in Knoxville for Thanksgiving, but no way we could go to the other two games. It was $150 for 3 conference games (including either Bama or Florida). So really, $300 for 7 games (including 3 cupcakes - 4 if you count Auburn) isnt' all that different. I sold the Bama tickets for $400 on ebay. Even in a crappy season you can re-coup your money if the tickets are cheap.
