Tell me why Shaw would leave his alma mater to rebuild a program that has to compete with the Bamas, LSUs, Floridas and Georgias? He's right where he wants to be, at his alma mater, in a conference he can obviously win big in. Stanford will pay to keep him there.

Exactly. The ONLY reason I can think that might make him consider leaving is the confiscatory California state income tax of 12.3% on high income earners. 12.3%!!! That's 12.3% of his income that he can keep in Knoxville.
By the way, Hart should make that part of his pitch to all potential hires.
