You have a very valid point. I really liked Dooley and I think his long term plan was good. The real problem was he couldn't take care of the home front. The sec is Defence, defence and some defence. He should never have tried to change everything at one time. I even think that Sal was a good coach just not ready for DC at this time, but the 3-4 is a very good Defense but takes a lot of time to get up to speed. Dooley didn't have that kind of time, his mistake. We will have a pretty good season this year 7-8 wins with two upsets. These guys are a hungry group of coaches and they work with their players.Look for players to put out every game.

Excuse me true vol nation for this Jim Mora moment. PLAN? You like Dooley's long term plan? We were 3-5 in the SEC his first year, 1-7 year two, and 0-7 year three. What exactly was his long term plan? Was he trying to shut the football program down?

You and your fellow Dooley aiders and abetters tried to hoodwink us into allowing that incompetent to destroy our program. You were as wrong on everything football as people who think the earth is flat. The icing on the cake of your utter ignorance about football is Harry Hiestand. Remember him? He was our offensive line coach for Dooley's first two years who you solely blamed mercilessly for our lack of run production. Where is he now you ask? Coaching the offensive line for 12-0 Notre Dame. Plan? You like Dooley's long term plan?
