The Vols play as good a defense as a team can play. Most every shot is contested. Despite not being so good on the boards tonight, though, and shooting poorly, Tenn slipped away with a win against a halfway decent team tonight. Definitely not a cupcake. But one obvious thing still stands out. This team has to stick the ball in the basket a whole lot better than they are doing now. With this defense and hopefully some better shooting, I think the Vols can do a little dancing in March. If not...
Coach Zo is sure to be up their rear ends about offensive rebounding after this game. I can't tell you how many times I was yelling at them for nobody making any attempt to hit the offensive boards. Still, Xavier is a good team, and one of only a couple that have gone to the sweet sixteen four times in the last five years (nobody has gone all five).
