If you schedule teams in football that your third string could beat, are you really helping yourself? You probably get worse because you play down to your competition.

I remember post after post on this site after the non conference games saying the economy was making them think twice about going to see the "cupcakes". If Memphis, UTC, and MTSU were exchanged in their place, it might be a different story. You know all three of those schools would love a chance to knock UT off.
