My comment was not a reflection on the coach, he can't know for sure what is in this kid's melon. Coach is coming in late, having to grasp for whatever scraps may be left or try and turn some kids who have said they are going elsewhere. He must have thought he could coach this kid up, but we'll never know.

This kid was a recruiting table scrap, had no long list of other schools after him. Let's keep it real, not like a 5* walked away after "leaning UT".

Azusa is the best fit for him in his opinion, and his is really the only one that counts.

So if he told Butch he was ready to play big boys ball, but inside knew he was not, "Hello Azusa, look at me - I turned down the Univ of Tennessee to play for your proud and glorious football program, now pass me those knee britches and some mo taters and gravy!"
