I get what you're saying about the "star factor". But, signing more and more players with good ratings increases your chances of having an outstanding team. Signing kids with poor/average ratings increases your chances of having a poor/average team.

You know when you actually state your position on matters instead of "bad-mouthing" you make some sense. Sort of. Of course it always depends on the kid you sign. His star rating doesn't make or break him. He has to do the work.

I believe in signing good hard working kids that are athletic. Don't ignore a kid if he's a 2 star even! You can't start out with the lower graded kids because they are probably lower rated for the most part because of their work ethic.
That's why you have to have a good relationship with the High Schools as well as the future recruits. Now I admit this is theorizing a little but ya gotta look at them all at some point.
