Adams' story sucks on so many levels: first, in two weeks, it will not interfere with the Super Bowl. Second, Ray Lewis has nothing in common with nor any connection to the T'eo story; why bring him in? Finally, a pox on us all for being interested. For this to generate more headline space in South Bend than any event since WWII says it all: how low have we sunk? Do we crave this stuff, so..the media feeds us or, does the media just feed us knowing we crave it. Either way, a shame. A careful analysis of the facts known and the time line, would show there is no valid reason for all the conspiracy theories. There was a clamor for T'eo to speak, so...he spoke but not as everyone seems to have wanted so we are not satisfied. There was uproar because he did not "come forward" for almost forty eight hours; who sets the "come forward" rules? Adams, and others of his ilk?
With all there is on earth to worry about, a football player having an on-line relationship with someone who types back...or not...does not warrant front page material in Indiana or sports page material in Knoxville. Does it?
