Would someone please explain to me what's the difference between a "walk on" and "preferred walk on". Thank you & GBO
The way I understand it, a walk on has to try out for the team while a preferred walk on has a guaranteed spot on the roster, as well as a better shot at a scholly if there is one available. The NCAA allows only 85 schollies, but a 105 man roster.
