Then, there is the constant adage that "....we will never be able to recruit until we win...." If that is true, Jones has as good a chance as would Saban, Meyer or Lombardi. A known and respected writer opined the other day that, "...no coach has ever been able to turn around a down program unless he can find a way to win with what he can recruit." This it the answer to what comes first: win or recruit. We must win with whatever we get, and that can never be preordained. We must let it play out; there is no other choice.
