I said in previous posts that I like Coach Martin. He seems to have character, he has a calmness about him, and he stands by his players. I like that. I hope the team wins many more games. They will if they will stick together and play hard. I have played sports, and it feels so good to win on the road and talk about it on the way home. A win over Kentucky would give the team some credibility. I like Golden still playing hard after losing his starting job. Tells you something about the young man. He's got it on the inside.
No doubt Martin has character and is a fine man. But he is Eyor on valium. Too calm. Just my opinion but I like energy and enthusiasm. It's easy to make positive comments after a nice win. I'm objective and analytical about this team and coach. All season it has been boring uninspiring unenergetic brand of basketball. This win was against one of the worst Vanderbilt teams in some time. A gimme. So I'm not trying to rain negativity, I'm just putting everything in perspective. Two wins in a row and a few humorously use the word tourney. NIT maybe, but the only way this team can get into the tourney is by winning the SEC tournament, i.e beat everyone plus Florida. Anything can happen in college hoops, but I doubt any would take that bet.
