It happens....Another tidbit....Maryland is NO slouch and would give TN a headache if we face them down the road (doesnt appear so with the way the brackets are set up unless we met them in the FF or NC). However, I believe I heard this right, but their post player leads the country in rebounds (as of a few weeks ago).

Actually, I just checked: If the brackets remain as they are, we would not meet Maryland until the NC.

We have a solid team that is experiencing attrition due to injuries and youth. With a healthy squad, improved defensive play, and less TOs....this team is good enough to be a FF team. Will it happen? Almost certainly not, but it is possible. This team needs to get Graves involved earlier and more often. She only had 2 points and 3 rebs in the first half yesterday (mind you, the 2 points came from the line). They need to have the mentality of "this team goes as our post player(s) go(es)". If you notice, with a stout post presence (which we have but it is not used enough...IMHO), it opens up the half court offense immensely....if we get the ball low and the opposing defense crashes === wide open perimeter and wing shots...(reference Baylor and how Griner and Sims run this). If they (the defense) take it lightly, or dont crash low, Graves can wear out 9 out of 10 opposing post players. She has done it to everyone we have played (when given the opportunity) besides Baylor.
