A lot of comments on this message board are lamenting the LVs poor defense. I believethat the lack of defense prowess is due to a couple of facts. One, the LVs are a relatively young team. Most young teams are better at offense than defense. Second, the LVs lack a true post player or center. I believe Bashaara is more of a power forward (like Lebron James) than a center. I hope Ms. Russell will rectify this situation next season. Connecticut is a good defensive team beacuse of a senior, Kellie Farris and a true center, Stefanie Dolson.
