"Oh! How the Mighty Have Fallen"

What I loved about the game was that at no time did the Vols, anyone of them, ever look like they were playing over their head. They never once looked like they were in a panic at the beginning of the game. Even when the lizards looked as if they expected to come in and run away with it, knock off a bunch of points early and never look back. But what Floriduh didn't have, our Volunteers did have. Confidence, stamina, and perserverence throughout the game.
Everyone has beat up players. Maymon is out, Golden's hamstring surely is not totally healed, so I don't want to hear about how the lizards have players out. We do too. That said, the Volunteers looked and most importantly, were the better team, the team who controlled the ebb and flow of the game once they got going. The team who quashed 3 pt shot options, totally won the rebounding wars. CCM got everyone in and contributing; Yemi when he had to come in early, Trae not running up points but running the game, Skylar's 5-Hour Energy defense. But Jordan and Jarnell ... what BEASTS!!! Nicodemus Christopher has to have the best strength and conditioning program in the SEC, give him credit too. Our Volunteers were the team who physically dominated. Coach Martin gets the credit for leading them to believe in themselves when many (see above posts) were giving up. ... now the lizards can drag their tails back to the swamps of the flatlands and lick their wounds while they and their fans must live knowing, and I mean knowing, that they are not the best team in the SEC at the end of the season when it counts!

All true! Yes...WE ARE TENNESSEE. We are back and everyone will have to deal with that fact. It's good to be exciting once again.
