Good comments by all. The Vols showed Saturday that they can PLAY with the big boys; now they have to learn how to BEAT the big boys. It was just three mistakes late by players trying to make aggressive plays that prevented them from winning this one. If Vereen hadn't wrenched the UGA tight end's helmet off, he might have gotten away with holding on the play, since the main action was some distance away. If Coleman had turned his head and tried to make a play for the ball, he might have gotten away with PI in the end zone. If they had avoided just one of those penalties, UGA possibly wouldn't have made that tying TD with FIVE SECONDS left. And of course, if Howard had just protected the ball and gone down after he was hit, the Vols would have had at worst first-and-goal at the two yard-line. More experienced players would have made those plays; less aggressive players wouldn't have been close enough to make those mistakes. The Vols showed that they are just THISCLOSE to being competitive with anybody.
