With all the modern technology available, I've never understood why they don't give referees a special frequency whistle that would hit a receiver and automatically stop the clock and light up the backboard light. It would eliminate the clock keeper for the most part and eliminate the type of issue we saw tonight. (Would probably still need to start the clock as they do now.) Some will argue that the technology might not work all the time. Well it doesn't work all the time now.
