If you are not sickened that Dave Hart bungled this opportunity to get Gruden to Tennessee, you are either very old, have unrealistic expectations as to where the Tennessee football program is nationally, or are just plain dumb. It is not about x's and o's..... Gruden would have brought an instant brand to Tennessee, igniting recruiting. He would have revitalized the program the way Dickey did in the 60's. Keep in mind, Dickey was only here 6 years yet completely resurrected a dead program. If you don't think we need firepower to do the same here, you are nuts. This isn't a job where we just need an honest coach who can work hard and coach them up. We are going against multi-millionaire superstar coaches and staffs. And we could have one-upped the whole freaking league. And Dave Hart didn't want to because he clearly has a side deal with Fisher that has been in place for a long time. Listen, you don't want rogue boosters running your program. Problem here is, Peyton Manning is not a rogue booster, and his opinion was shot down by a Bama's former AD. Pathetic
