Best and worst: UT vs. Vanderbilt
Best Hunters: Apparently quite a few people picked hunter's blaze orange over Big Orange and picked the ducks over the pigskin. Attendance at the game was only 32,312. I'm not sure how much shotgun shells are, but they're bound to be cheaper than $55 tickets.
Worst Proposal: UT athletic director Mike Hamilton said earlier the Commodores have expressed interest in moving the game earlier in the season. Why would the Vols go for that? Vandy is inevitably beat up late in the year and always comes up short against the Vols.
Worst Preparation: UT's defense was abused by the 108th-ranked scoring offense in the country. Sure, Jay Cutler is a good quarterback but every SEC team that faced him held the Commodores to fewer points than the Vols did.
Best Streak: Cutler was born in the spring of 1983, several months after Vanderbilt's last victory over UT in 1982. It's 22 consecutive Tennessee wins over Vanderbilt and counting.
Best Hometown: Cutler is the pride of Santa Claus, Ind. He was raised in Christmas Village subdivision. Honest truth.
Best Yum-Yum: After the game, some of UT's players chowed down on carryout meals in the tunnel and on the field as if they were having a impromptu picnic.
Best Hit: UT linebacker Omar Gaither made a punishing, but clean hit on quarterback Jay Cutler.
Worst Taunt: Gaither couldn't leave it alone. He stood over Cutler and taunted him, leading to a penalty.
