LUNDY: Best and Worst
Worst Milestone: UT offensive line coach Jimmy Ray Stephens turned 50 on Saturday. A blowout loss on your big day is worse than black balloons. A fan behind UT's bench noted the occasion with a sign wishing Stephens well.
Best Wide Body: Charles Barkley, former Auburn and NBA star, took a flight to Knoxville from his home in Arizona to watch the game. He was on the field on Auburn's sideline wearing a No. 34 Bo Jackson jersey.
Best Change Of Pace: The gospel music halftime show by The Overcoming Faith Christian Center Choir of Athens and the Agope Ministry Dancers of Knoxville was lively, entertaining and full of energy but the Neyland Stadium crowd didn't seem to be into it. Hey, Lee Greenwood ain't the only one who can sing.
Best Sign: Auburn's tiger mascot mocked UT's band by holding up a sign that said, "Rocky Top Counter."
Best Freight Train: Ronnie Brown ran over UT's Jason Allen to score Auburn's first touchdown.
Best Offense: Al Borges is Auburn's fourth offensive coordinator the past four seasons. So the lesson is what? If you change coordinators every year, you'll get it right sooner or later?
Best Save: UT placekicker James Wilhoit saved a touchdown with an open-field tackle on Devin Aromashodu in the fourth quarter.
Worst Popularity: Poor field judge Michael Williams managed to upset fans of both teams. He was in the middle of controversial calls all night, ruling an early UT catch in the end zone was out of bounds. Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville got hot when Williams called pass interference on the Tigers in the third quarter.
Worst Hands: (tie) Auburn's Cooper Wallace was wide open in the end zone in the first quarter but dropped a pass thrown right to him. UT's Gerald Riggs dropped a pass that hit him in the numbers in the first half.
Best Bragging Rights: Wonder what Auburn linebacker Kevin Sears told his younger brother, Arron?
