Ole Miss: Best and Worst
most of the first quarter as he stood on UT's sideline. He even got some face time on ESPN2 while holding the green
cup.
Best Tailgaters: The Pearson family of Knoxville, Ashton and Kathy with sons Chip and Matt, haven't missed an Ole Miss home game in nine years. They set up their tent just after midnight Saturday morning near the Grove, on the same plot of ground they've staked out since the mid-1990s. Matt is a senior at Ole Miss and the rest of the family graduated from Ole Miss. The Rebels' media guide notes that Sports Illustrated named Ole Miss the nation's best tailgating school.
Best Genes: Eric Rice, Ole Miss tight end, is a nephew of NFL great Jerry Rice.
Worst Absence: UT sorely missed the services of right guard Cody Douglas, who has a sprained foot.
Worst Fumble: UT's Jonathan Hefney misjudged an Ole Miss punt that sailed over his shoulder, which he fumbled to set up Ole Miss' first-half TD.
Best Turnaround: UT's Erik Ainge went from interceptionthrowing goat to game hero in the fourth quarter.
Best Big Play: UT's Jason Allen forced a fumble and then made the recovery early in the third quarter.
Worst Formation: UT's punt blocking alignment, with the ends lined up two yards behind the line and squeezed inside, appears to be making Dustin Colquitt unsure of angling the ball toward the corner. In the third quarter, for instance, Colquitt sailed the ball down the middle and deep into the end zone.
Worst Timing: Brown was waving his arms, encouraging the Ole Miss fans to cheer louder when he came to the line just before Ainge threw an interception that was returned for a TD.
