Coaches pick Richt SEC's best
Cutler voted No. 1 offensive player
Richt led the Bulldogs to their second SEC championship in the past four seasons. The Bulldogs (10-2) will play West Virginia (10-1) on Jan. 2 in the Sugar Bowl in Atlanta.
Georgia is 52-12 in five seasons under Richt. His 81.3 winning percentage is second all-time among SEC coaches who have coached in the league for five or more seasons.
In his five seasons at Georgia, the Bulldogs have won a share of the Eastern Division title three times and have won 10 or more games in each of the last four seasons.
Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler, Alabama linebacker DeMeco Ryans and LSU return specialist/wide receiver Skyler Green were voted, respectively, as the SEC top offensive player, top defensive player and top special teams player.
LSU center Rudy Niswanger and Arkansas running back Darren McFadden was named as the league's scholar-athlete of the year and top freshman performer.
Auburn offensive tackle Marcus McNeill was selected as the recipient of the Jacobs Trophy, given to the league's top blocker.
Niswanger was the 16th recipient of the Draddy Trophy, presented at the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's 48th Annual Awards Dinner in New York on Tuesday.
It comes with a 24-inch, 25-pound bronze trophy and a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship.
