Men's team makes AP top 25 poll

The University of Tennessee men's basketball team hopped into the Associated Press' Top 25 poll Monday, landing in the No. 23 slot.

Fresh off their 97-78 win at former sixth-ranked Texas on Saturday, the Volunteers (6-0) received 281 points in the poll and placed them just above Ohio State (7-0). Texas (8-2) dropped to No.15.

Other SEC teams in the AP Top 25 are: No. 5 Florida (10-0) and No. 19 Kentucky (7-3).

Tennessee was not ranked in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll; it fell four points short of the No. 25 spot, which was occupied by Pittsburgh (8-0).
