Thompson declared his intentions to come to UT last weekend and was offered a scholarship by Tennessee today (Wednesday).
Thompson, 6-1, 210 pounds, is being recruited as a linebacker by UT.
Thompson was named to the All-Dekalb/Rockdale County first team.
