Brooks timeline
* Oct. 3, 2005: Brooks dismissed from the team after a confrontation earlier in the day with basketball players Jemere Hendrix and Andre Patterson.
* July 25, 2005: A Knox County judge dismissed three charges against Brooks and reduced another. Brooks faced two charges of driving with a suspended license plus citations for running a red light and jaywalking. A suspended-license charge and the two citations were dismissed. The other charge for driving on a suspended license was reduced and he was ordered to pay a $10 fine.
* June 22, 2005: Fulmer suspends Brooks for a third game in 2005 after not taking care of a traffic ticket. Brooks was issued a ticket for going the wrong way on a one-way street on March 6. Brooks failed to appear in court on March 29, and action was taken against his license. On June 14, police responding to a wreck on campus discovered Brooks' license was suspended and he was arrested. Brooks' past traffic citations also include: speeding in a construction zone (March 25, 2004), no driver's license in his possession (July 20, 2004) and no proof of insurance (March 25, 2004).
* April 13, 2005: Fulmer suspends Brooks for the first two games of the 2005 season for his involvement at a fight at a frat party and "being somewhere he shouldn't have been.''
* March 7, 2005: Brooks reportedly hits a fraternity member March 7 at the University Center. Brooks was not charged.
* Dec. 29, 2004: Brooks was allegedly involved in an altercation at the Electric Ballroom nightclub. According to a Knoxville Police Department incident report, Melvin Ellis accuses Brooks of starting a fight with him at 2 a.m. Brooks was not arrested nor charged, but was punished by Fulmer.
* January, 2004: Brooks was involved in an incident at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house on campus. No charges were filed.
