Alabama landed two players on the first team and the Tide and Arkansas were the only teams with three players among the first and second team picks.
Four first-team selections were unanimous: Alabama's Chuck Davis and Ronald Steele, Arkansas' Ronnie Brewer and Kentucky's Rajon Rondo.
The preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC head basketball coaches, the league said in a news release. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made.
