The Arena Football League team cut Kelly on Wednesday, three weeks after the 13-year veteran quarterback had been demoted in favor of backup Chris Sanders.
Kelly, the AFL's all-time leader in passing completions, attempts and yards, threw a league-high 13 interceptions as the Brigade limped to a 1-6 start. He hasn't seen the field since.
Kelly was one of 14 players whom the Brigade inherited from the New Orleans VooDoo. Kelly could not be reached for comment.
