Orange and white tipS

This is it. Tennessee fans get their final chance at a football fix before California rolls into Knoxville on Sept. 2.

Today's Orange and White Game features everything from "Chillbillies" to the return of offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe.

Bring a raincoat and check out a daylong schedule of events as the Vols close out spring practice 2006.

  • The Fans Day festivities begin at 11 a.m. and have been moved to Thompson-Boling Arena because of construction at Neyland Stadium.
  • UT football players and coaches will be available for autographs on the arena floor from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Only one item signed per fan, per player. The first 7,500 fans receive a free fan pack.
  • From 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., an interactive game area and a "Chillbillies" concert are scheduled for the northeast arena plaza.
  • Tickets available, cheap, too. Gates to Neyland Stadium open at 12:45 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children. UT students get in free with a valid UT ID. Ticket booths are located at gates 10, 17 and 20. Seating will be limited to the lower west and lower south sections.
  • Because of construction that has closed the north and east sides of Neyland Stadium, the following are access areas: Gate 9 (UT player pass gate and stadium medical), Gate 10, Gate 13, Gate 14 and 14-A (sky box, media and disabled entrance only), Gate 15, Gate 17, Gate 18 and Gate 20.
  • At 2 p.m., the Vols will take center stage for the Orange and White game. There will be two 15-minute quarters featuring mostly first- and second-team players. The second half will be two 12-minute quarters featuring Vols' reserves.
  • If that's not enough activity for one afternoon, fans can take a stroll up the road to see the Vols' baseball team take on traditional SEC power LSU with a game-time start of 4 p.m. at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
