Williams will have to re-take a college entrance exam on Saturday. The UT signee scored a 23 on the ACT earlier this summer.
Its no surprise that hell have to retake the test as the NCAA Clearinghouse takes a close look at any ACT score that jumps by five points or more. Williams previously posted an 18 on the test.
"Hes still in the process," UT coach Phillip Fulmer said Thursday.
Williams will need to score at least a 21 to validate the earlier 23. Fulmer said the defensive lineman/linebacker could still get his test score back in time to enroll.
That, however, looks tough because classes start at UT next week. If Williams does not get the test score back by the end of next week, he would likely have to attend prep school.
Questions about Williams eligibility arose from one of three correspondence classes taken at the now defunct University High in Florida.
