"There might be a slight chance, but I'm not really sure that will happen," the 6-foot-4, 220-pound linebacker from Memphis Christian Brothers High School said.
Walker has been to Knoxville plenty of times. He took an unofficial visit in September. This time around, it's a bit more formal.
"I've been waiting on this for awhile," said Walker, who will drive to Knoxville after his high school basketball game on Friday night. "I'm kind of anxious to get up there."
Walker said his main goal this weekend will be to get to know some of UT's players, how they like the coaches and how they like playing football for UT.
Walker said he has planned official visits to LSU, Clemson and Michigan in January.
"I'm still kind of looking at Michigan and Clemson," Walker said. "Tennessee and LSU, it's probably going to come down to those two.
"It's really close."
Walker's family, who will move with him wherever he plays college football, will play an important factor in his decision. His mother, Gloria Walker, has expressed a desire to stay in Tennessee so she won't have to attain a teaching certificate in another state to continue her career.
"I'm still leaning towards Tennessee," Walker said, "but I want to evaluate them both (UT and LSU)."
