"Most people know what college you went to but they don't know where you're from," the former Vol said this week on the News Sentinel Sports Page radio show.
Stallworth said he was also recognizing his high school because his brother was part of a state title team at Grant this season.
"I wanted to give a shoutout," he said.
Players have sometimes omitted their colleges during introductions because of hard feelings with their former schools. Stallworth said that wasn't the case.
"Oh no," he said. "I go back to Tennessee as much as I can."
