UT got bad news Wednesday morning just as the signed letters of intent began rolling in. Michael Goggans from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Ala., signed with Auburn over Tennessee.
The 6-foot-1, 245-pound tight end/defensive end was expected to reaffirm his UT commitment made last summer after considering Auburn and Alabama.
Another possible Vol refused to change his stripes when Perry Riley from Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Ga., signed with LSU, according to Tigerbait.com. Riley committed to LSU in October but many thought he would end up signing with the Vols.
