Committed to UT one year ago this week. Fielded serious interest from Virginia Tech and Alabama after pledging to be a Vol. The athletic Smith had a disappointing senior season. Will likely play defensive end or tight end. Father, Daryle Smith, played football at UT before a successful NFL career.
