Foster's recovery on schedule; shoulder surgery next
"Hes doing well," Bernadette Foster said Thursday. "Hes off his crutches. Everything looks good. Everything is normal."
Arian Foster had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee in November.
Bernadette Foster said her son will have shoulder surgery to repair a loose joint during the last week of January. Foster will likely miss all of spring practice but should be 100 percent in time for summer workouts.
Foster, a redshirt freshman, was UTs starting tailback after senior Gerald Riggs Jr., suffered a season ending ankle injury on Oct. 22 against Alabama.
Foster ended the season with 916 yards and averaged 4.8 yards per carry. Foster topped 100 yards rushing in each of the final five games of the season after Riggs went down.
