Tennessee back in the Top 25

Two days removed from knocking off then No. 2-ranked Florida, the University of Tennessee men's basketball team jumped back into the top 25.

In the Associated Press Poll, the Vols (12-3, 3-1 SEC) landed at No. 19, two spots ahead of Georgetown (12-4), which knocked off former No. 1 Duke. Tennessee grabbed the 20th spot in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

Bruce Pearl's squad last appeared in the AP Top 25 on Dec. 19, claiming 23rd following its 95-78 win over then sixth-ranked Texas. But, the Vols dropped out the next week after losing to Oklahoma State. Tennessee didn't receive a ranking from the Coaches Poll following its Texas win.

Connecticut (16-1) took over the top spot, reeling in 64 first-place votes. Duke (17-1) fell to No. 2.

Memphis (17-2) ranked third in both polls, while Florida dropped to fifth in the AP Poll and fourth in the Coaches Poll. Texas was given the fourth spot in the AP Poll and fifth in the Coaches Poll.
