Cincinnati’s Martin visits Vols

Ben Martin visited Tennessee’s campus Tuesday forcing several of UT’s coaches, including coach Phillip Fulmer and both of UT’s coordinators, to cut short a golf outing with local media.

Martin, who is from LaSalle High School in Cincinnati, has several scholarship offers, including Florida, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan. Martin, 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, is expected to play defensive end in college.

Baylor Bound: Gilmer (Texas) School quarterback G.J. Kinne committed to Baylor, where his father coaches linebackers.

Kinne, who transferred from Canton (Texas) High to Gilmer after his junior season, was considering UT and Florida last month.

UT was out of the picture when it received a commitment from quarterback B.J. Coleman of Chattanooga McCallie.
