Paige said he and Davis will decide by Friday whether to visit UT this weekend or next. Paige said he is talking with UT assistant coach Trooper Taylor to choose which weekend is best.
Paige said he has to schedule his visit around his first practice next Tuesday at Sterlington (La.) High School.
"I can go this weekend or next weekend," the 6-foot-3, 175-pound wide receiver said. "It doesn't matter to me."
Paige and Davis, a 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive end from West Monroe (La.) High School, plan to announce their college decision on ESPN on Aug. 19. Paige said he wants to see UT's campus before next month's decision.
"If I haven't seen them I won't know how the school will be," he said. "I want to see how the schools are and what the other players are like to be around."
Paige said he will be making his choice between UT, LSU, Florida State, Southern Cal, Florida and Miami (Fla.). Davis is considering the same schools as Paige, along with Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State.
Paige said he is anxious to visit UT to see how he would fit in.
"I want to get around to the facilities, meet the coaches and see the campus," he said. "I want to see what they have planned for me."
Paige and Davis likely will attend the same school. Davis told the News Sentinel last month that the probability was "close to 100 percent."
"Having someone who knows exactly what you're going through is kind of helpful," he said. "Whenever I'm stressed about it I have someone to call to talk about it."
